Swissotel, Nam Lert Park

Featured Replies

Has anyone eaten at the Swissotel, Nam Lert Park?

How does it compare with the likes of Shangri-La, Marriott, Sheraton?

What is Sunday Brunch like?

Reason being that I have been approached to buy one of their 'Platinum Cards'. It seems good value, but I wanted some feedback as to the quality of the place :o

Briefly - Genji, the Japanese restaurant is killer; ISO does a good value buffet (you pay 7 baht per minute, I think); the bar, SYN, is dead; and the Italian restaurant (name?) has been re-done and looks really good (haven't eaten there yet). And they have good dim-sum at the Chinese rest.

I am wondering if they kept "Ma Maison", the french restaurant from the previous Hilton.

I've only been to their lunch buffet. I'ts nice to look out on their lovely garden area if you are near the window. There is not as much food as the buffet at the Marriott nearby but I think the higher quality choices are still fairly similar. My Thai colleagues like ISO better than the Marriott but I would say they both aim for different clientele. ISO would be fine for a casual meal with expat or hi-so Thai friends whereas the Marriott is more business-oriented.

Well I sampled the Sunday brunch today, it was ok.

Certainly not, in my opinion, as good as either Sheraton/ Marriott/ Shangri-La.

Probably on par with Conrad.

Agree with previous poster that it seems to attract mainly Thai clientelle.

1200bt ++.

Reasonable food in a reasonable setting with reasonable service.

But there are far better out there.
