Thanks for the speedy reply, Mark.

The reason that I was asking is because my mates want to play there but I prefer Green Valley, which is a pretty good course and only 1000 baht before 9am. Unfortunately they can only play in the afternoon and the price rises to 2000 baht.

I golf there at least once a week. right now they have sports days on Mon, Tues, Thursday..Green fee is around 680 Baht and caddie fee is around 250 Baht. This is also the cost for every day (sat and sun included) if you start at 2:45 pm. I have NEVER not finished a round of golf when we started at 245 pm.

The course........small hard fast greens in so so condition. Water water everywhere (every hole has water on it)...the best I have done is lost 3 balls on one day and the worst is 14 balls in one day. Buy extra balls from the roadside before you get to the course. Fairways in pretty good condition.

New(ish) clubhouse, good showers (if they haven't turned the hot water off at 6 pm to save on electricity :D ); food is okay (not great, not lousy).

Caddies very limited english but usually very knowledgeable and fun........ask for #545 (her name is Nom Yai :o );

I agree with candoman. The course has improved a lot from a few months ago. It's actually in pretty fair shape now. It's a nice layout, and very long.

Candoman,

Do you know whether a 2 ball flight would be allowed on the weekends at 2:45pm...or do you only see 4-5 ball flights there?

Thanks

They let in singles; doubles, 3sums, 4sums and even, unfortunately 5 balls (very rare). If its busy they may try and pair you up with another double or single but even that doesn't happen too often.

We play what is called ready golf..........as soon as you are ready you hit your ball (except putting of course) and make sure you aren't standing in front of somebody ready to hit their 3-wood. we don't wait and congregate around someone when they are shooting (I know poor golf etiquette but ya gotta move on quickly).

hit em long and straight!! :o
