Try the School of Oriental and African Studies near Euston station. The institution is an adjunct of the University of London and they do night school classes in Thai at various levels. I attended such classes for 3 years and found them very informative. The cost then was about £200 per term.

I am interested somewhat Scouse if you managed to have a go at reading & writing Thai script ?? I am on the Phonetic at the moment and dithering on the Script !

Yes, I did. Reading and writing is an integral part of the course at SOAS.
