Koo that quote you include is a snip from within a sentence of an AFP international media report. It is not my comment. It may help if you requote the entire sentence and attribute it to who it belongs.

"We want to see justice."

Sounds reasonable :D

From a convicted criminal who skipped bail and refuses to serve his time? That's reasonable???!!! OK. :D

In your world does "up" mean "down"?

"convicted criminal" :o because his wife bought a land with no fault and no corruption, the land is still hers, seller and buyer have no mistake, and husband became a criminal! :D

From AFP:
Former Thai PM Thaksin points finger of blame

BANGKOK (AFP) — Fugitive former Thai premier Thaksin Shinawatra made an angry video address to 13,000 of his protesting supporters Friday, blaming the revered king's main advisers for his downfall.

Rest at: http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/artic...tVquqlRtyWVcGWQ

First report of numbers I have seen. 13K sounds a bit lower than I would have expected. Accurate or not?

Sorry hammered.

I cut too much and was not fair to you. You didn't mean he was angry, did you?

Koo I dont know if he was angry or not as I didnt see the speech. The report by AFP says he was, but that could be true or false. I was more interested if people attending thought the 13,000 demonstrators was accurate or not?

Just how many people would turn up for the party, oops .. protest, in red shirts, yellow shirts or rainbow shirts if there was no money being handed out? About 400-500 maybe. Seems like the majority of Thailand doesn't care much for yellows, reds or any colours of the rainbow.

It's no wonder the country is not moving forward and projects like the extension of the public transport system take years to complete, especially when compared to places like China and the U.A.E. where most projects get approved much more quickly and the work gets done efficiently.

he broke the law, they price was a joke. Immediately after she bought it, the law that bans high buildings there was canceled.

It was a complete clear case of corruption, just as she was his wife she didn't need to pay him, and he did not benefit from it, as he didn't buy it. Therefore it is "just" 2 years. He accepted the ruling.

There are at least 10 big things waiting at court which can't be proceed because he is on the run. As well he did vote buying which seems to be no crime in Thailand.

So what is wrong with "convicted criminal"?

The red leaders have had to improve their payment method to followers as they've been duped too much. They were paying 200 baht a head to folks who turned up in a red shirt when the rally began, but too many were then leaving and lending their shirt to friends who would then receive another 200 baht.

So now you can arrive in any colour shirt, get a red one from the organisers, wear it and then get paid 300 baht at the end of the rally when you hand back the shirt.

Sufficiency economy, well done boys.

Go Red Go! Let freedom ring...

Including perhaps the freedom to hold an Aids-awareness rally in Chiang Mai, or to be the father of a yellow-shirt, without getting murdered by red-shirts ? The freedom to travel to Chiang Mai, when you're a politician they don't like, without having eggs thrown at you, or having your hotel blockaded ?

And as I already commented previously, the freedom to travel to a peaceful-rally in Bangkok, without being stopped or turned-back by the police, regardless of what colour shirt you wear. :o

Is that 300 baht for a days rallying or when the thing ends when the government falls?

Edited to add: Who gets the job of washing the returned shirts every night assuming that is daily and that to be given some sweaty old shirt worn by someone else the day before is not an option, or maybe they have new ones for every day particularly if numbers were less than expected. Wonder who got the T-shirt production contract.

You are believing foolish lies with no basis in jurisprudence.

Have faith all you like,

but faith counter to fact is only faith in fantasy.

I find it hilarious that all the PAD loving **flame removed****are calling this the "do or die moment" - the "last rally" - "all or nothing" and are trying to talk it up so they can hammer it down when it ends.

This is not a do or die.......its not the "last effort".

This is just a continuation of protests that will go on and on until justice is done.

How can justice be done if Thaksin is hiding outside?

He shall come back and stay his 2+ many more cases years in jail...

I would try to find a new driver......

A person who supports corruption/violence would be suspect for me....

The Newin-Thaksin split seems to have suddenly become very final according to this Post report:

http://www.bangkokpost.com/breakingnews/13...thaksin-move-mp

This has been very, very final for several months.

The PAD have been arguing Newin may be on a double game and BPundit has speculated that Newin would work with PTP again. Never agreed with either myself but I think this will go some way to convincing both parties.

I have always been of the opinion that Thaksin avoids countries close to Thailand to avoid the reach of Newin.

Edited to add: agree with you basically

If i steal something precious from you Koo, say something like a signed photo of your square-faced hero, and i'm found guilty by the courts of this crime but they don't have the power to make me return it to you (not that i could actually because i already burnt it - sorry about that :D ); does the fact that i don't return it suddenly clear me of all charges?

The fact that Pokemon hasn't had to return that land reflects a flaw in the way the justice system works (just as there is a flaw in that she couldn't be charged with anything), it doesn't however change the verdict - THAKSIN GUILTY.

Even if we do humour you for a minute Koo, and imagine that despite his own poxy proxy party being in power, he was unfairly ruled against in this case, do you seriously believe that he's not guilty of any of the cases that are currently back-logged against him?

If you do believe that then your head must be further up in the clouds than i thought!

because your wife is not paying you in cash for getting a state property cheaper. It is not allowed to sell your wife if you are PM, but there is no law that blocks the PMs wife from buying something.

The other things can be proceed when Thaksin comes back, but as he is a convicted criminal on the run the courts can not proceed.

h90,

I can't understand that.

We know you can't, which is why we keep trying to explain to you, the reason all these other cases are delayed, is because the 'hero of justice' has absconded, and is not in court to face the charges.

Not because he won't be found guilty of some/all of them, as he well knows, which is why he skipped bail.

By the way, may I say 'Thank-You' to you, for the photos of the rally, which you have been posting ? :o Also, as somone who has actually been there, what is your estimate, of the numbers of people there ? Are the various estimates, of 20-30,000 protesters, accurate or too high ?

I think one of the points the reds are making is that justice is justice, its not a one way thing.

Many PAD people are clearly recorded on Video breaking many laws - and yet "no justice", "no convictions".

That is one simple example of why the reds will keep going until justice is done.

If the Democrats continue to "hide" and not seek proper and swift justice of those PAD people well, they will lost any credibility they have. There are no excuses - if they wanted to start the trials next week they could, but it looks like some "dark hand" is applying pressure to slow down and halt the process so that its all "delayed", delayed so long it will not be ready for trial for another 5 years or more.

Police are smiling with the reds

smilingpolice.jpg

He is not smiling, he is laughing WITH her NOT AT her, did you look to the policeman at the left? He is smiling to the photographer

You can see very clear that they find her thinthong or pasaad mak maak.

The policeman second on the right show clearly his disgust about her behaviour.
