My finance went to the embassy for her interview early January for a fiance Visa , she was given a section 221 g document with the following remark, " administrative process". I try to call the embassy to find out what that mean, but I was told that the only way to communicate with the Visa department is Via E-mail, I have send many emails in the proper required format, but 2 months later i have not received an answer. I have called my Congressman's office and they have send several congressional inquiries to the BKK embassy, they say normally they get an answer with in a week, so far it has being over 1 month and they have not got an answer also , as we talk I am sending a letter to my Senator, requesting assistance, maybe he will have better luck, and I will come to Thailand at my first opportunity, some time at the end of May ( must finish a work project) and if we don't have resolution by then, go to the embassy personally.

Does anyone have a similar experience?any advise?

I simply don't know what to do next, I talk to my finance via Video conference every day, and she is heart broken. it brakes my heart to see her so Sad. These have being the worst 2 months in my life. :o

A 221 (G) refusal is basically a refusal on the part of the Embassy to issue the visa without further documentation. It is akin to an RFE (Request For Evidence) issued by USCIS in the US. They are likely asking for some sort of additional documentation. It is a relatively routine request, but not being on the ground in Bangkok can make it difficult to deal with. As to "administrative process" without seeing the actual 221 (g) form it is difficult to discern what they are talking about.
