Maxnet Sucks! Poor Customer Service And Poor Internet Service

Featured Replies

URGENT!!!

MaxNet Sucks !!!!!!!!!!

Poor customer service and poor internet service. I just got conned and wanted to warned anyone thinking about registering for MaxNet.

Noticed that their website has no information "About the Company" nor "Board of Directors", "Company Mission Vision" etc.

That's because they have no organization at all.

Do not register for MaxNet!!!

Abslolutely NO probs here in CM, connection as fast as promised, reliable, and very good customer-service.

Total opposite to TOT, they are still in stoneage (out of customer-service itself).

and again a meaningless complain, you signed for the cheap package and it's clearely written the bandwith is limited outside of thailand, about 5 times less big than the indy package according to the paper i saw at their office in tesco samui.

the 3 meg offer is true, i download sometime at 300k/sec but this is of course outside of the peak hours , i got 300k/sec at the same hours i had 200k before.

but i do agree since the promotion started, the internet became slower at the peak time, they certainly opened the bandwith tap at one side...

If you want international bandwidth forget about the cheapo packages and sign up for Premier.

My biggest problem with MaxNet is the intentional blocking of certain services in order to force the user to upgrade to a business connection. They started blocking SFTP (secure ftp) which i use to updates some US websites. I got around this by using a VPN connection, but now IPSEC traffic is blocked and I can't use vpn anymore.

I'm willing to accept some poor bandwidth and latency from the low cost packages because I know that there are huge contention ratios and the reason it is cheap is because i'm sharing it with so many others. OTOH, these artificial blocks that Maxnet keeps putting in place are utter bullshit. They keep damaging their own product in the hopes that i'll buy a pricier model.

Going to Premier class is not exactly a great choice, as it would mean i either cut my torrent download speeds to 25% of what they currently are (while paying a little more) or paying an absurd monthly rate. Neither are too attractive to me.
