Compaq Presario 2545ap Power Supply

Featured Replies

My laptop has stopped working so I took it to the repair shop

I use here on samui to determin whether it was the laptop or the

power supply and cable.

The man said it was the power supply. So I've been looking around

for one of these http://www.etronicspal.com/120334.html

The only place so far I have found compaq power supplies is a small store inside Big C.

When we took the laptop there to see if it would power up, we noticed the plug that goes into the laptop

is smaller than the one on my power supply, and does not fit properly.

This laptop is afew years old so maybe the design has changed for the new laptops.

Does anyone know where I can find a new power supply? I would prefer to order on-line

and have it sent to me here. I checked the compaq website for thailand but had no luck!

Many thanks for any help

look for an hp service outlet ask an hp compaq dealer they should know closest one.   If not in stock they can order OEM power brick for compaq I got mine same price as online no shipping ect.  even little phitsanulok has an hp service center.

I've been running Compaq/HP Presario/Pavillions for the last 10 years and kept various power supplies at different locations (home/office/hospital/friend's) to save carrying them. They were not all OEM and I used multi-supplies with the interchangeable tips quite happily throughout. Just get one sufficiently meaty for your machine - e.g. my tx2000 wants 18.5V (19 is close enough, it actually works down to about 13V but won't start up with just that) and up to 3.5 A output.
