Acer Aspire Timeline

Acer just released a line of extra thin laptops - they might not be quite as refined as a MacBook Air or Dell Adamo but they come at killer prices from $699 - $ 899, and 8 hours of battery life. 13 - 15" screen, ULV processor, 1.3Kg - 2.5 kg.

IMO this is perfect for all the people who only websurf and watch videos on their machines, along with office work. The ULV processors are good enough for all of that, and you get a thin and light machine that's extremely good value.

Thanks nikster for that!

That's something I'll buy after I can write off my existing Acer Aspire in October this year. And I'm a real happy Acer customer and user because of very good experiences.

Cheers.

I really like the performance specs of this, dual core & 8GB being very convenient, but I don't like 16x9 displays for doing work on a PC. The size and weight of the 13.3" model might get me to overlook the display if I can find one with a dual core CPU.

Edit: Just read on pcmag that the 13" they tested included a 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U9600 (I think they meant SU9600). Just have to wait until the end of April.

Nice, thanks.

Wonder if it will come out with Windows 7 at some point.

Where'd you find the price list?

:o
