I have just become the proud owner of a new laptop running windows vista but I cant find my favourites so havent been able to save any good web pages I might come across. Could anyone please please tell me where they are.

Its not a vista issue its what browser you are using.

IE8 = Top left below the page forward/back buttons

Firefox = Bookmarks 5th word in from the top left

With a memory stick you can also copy and paste favorites from your old computer into the new one.

I am using internet explorer but have used thi many times with xp with all the 'bits' on the top tools etc but they all seem to have vanished.

It sound like you have no tool bars showing.

Click tools top right

Click tool bars

Select the ones you want to show.

Did you give Vista your approval to post your topic? (joke you will understand once you get used to it)

Like others said it is with your browser IE ... they are leading you in the right direction..

enjoy vista.. until windows 7..

IE 8's a waste of time had no end of problems with it went back to 7 its still in beta (test) mode

I'm a litle bit surprised that there are still people using IE, better use Mozilla Firefox its faster and never have problems.
