I was going to try out Absolute 7 ( Sukhumvit, Soi 7) but read somewhere that it recently closed. Has a new place (Bangkok Beat?) opened at the same location? If so, what's it like?

Bangkok Beat is the newest music place in Bkk and located at sukhumvit soi 7/1.

Everything was renovated, the service and the live bands are excellent.

Must see and ear it.

Yes am sorry to say that all things " French " are still on the menu

Been there and enjoyed my evening on May 2nd.

Good bands, nice staff, friendly atmosphere.

The new management did a very good job : now the place is really clean despite some unfair comments !
