Open Office Format To Open In Msoffice?

Featured Replies

This is probably a simple one, but has had me messing for a while.

If I make a document or spreadsheet in Open Office what format do I need to same it in for it to function with Microsoft Office on XP? Most of the time I have no problems but sometimes the odd file is not compatible. I have a spreadsheet that will not open in MSoffice. I have tried re-saving it in MSoffice compatible format but still not opened.

So what the best route to take when making files?

Thanks

Hi there,

when finished with your spreadsheet on open office " save as "- on the dropdown "filter" than select " Microsoft Excel 97/2000/xp.xls " name the file in the "filename" field - & Ok.

Hope that helps,
