If This Turns Violent

Featured Replies

some have commented as ridiculous and disorderly as these mobs have been it largely has not been violent which we all are thankful for. I personally feel this should have been dealt with more strongly before the ASEAN summit. With non lethal weapons and ENFORCED road blocks. Now it is too late for that, and it can no longer be nipped in the bud.

So Abhsit says force may be used. None of us know if he holds enough respect to actually entice the army to use force but assuming he does what will be the outcome? The reds will realize this is not a game and go running back home?

Personally I don't think so I think any serious outbreak of violence could trigger a civil war and incredible social unrest and bloodshed.

I don't know how this can be resolved but I am praying it does not get nasty.

it does not take more than a few bad apples on both sides for things to get out of hand.

Social unrest we have.

Civil war, however, would require organisation.

Maybe Toxin has plans to invade with a mercenary army :o

Does anyone think the red shirts have a legitimate grievance? I'm not sure what there grievance is entirely? Is it they want more free hand outs from Thaksin? Was Thaksin really helping them or just tossing them a bone so he can hand himself a steak?

Unfortunately this can of worms was open by the PAD's actions. You reap what you sew.... :o

The reds keep electing a leader who ends up getting thrown out by the other side for silly things like helping out on a cooking show. They feel that they are not being allowed their democratic rights.

Maybe they have gotten so little from the government in the past that they are happy with a BONE! :o
