My wife received her letter of invite to attend the ceremony it only took four weeks to be approved. The first time she arrived in the UK was on March 6 2006 on a Tourist visa giving her the 3 year qualifying period from first entering the UK.

Can I ask a quick question, when did you apply for citizenship? Is it only 4 weeks from applying to actually getting accepted? I've just had a look on the UK Border Agency site and they are quoting 6 months.

Its getting close to when we apply - November. I'm also wondering when the change to the new points system will happen. Originally they were quoting 'late 2009' and I'm hoping that the system doesn't change before we are able to apply for my wife's citizenship.
