G'day,

I can go to the US under the Visa Waiver program but since my wife is Thai, she has to go apply for a visa. I do not work in Thailand nor does she work. We just came from the US last year after I quit my work to come here.

Is a return ticket and some savings in foreign banks sufficient?

I read that it is quite difficult to get one. Previously she was on a H4 visa riding on my H1B.

We rang the consulate and they refused to give any advice other than to go online.

Thanks

Matt

I think,

if your wife has not a lot of money, land, house, children who stay in Thailand, ect. (all in her name, since some time),

than,

better look for an easyer, to reach, Holyday destination, if it is, really? a holiday what you are looking for.

The big Q is always, what are her ties to Thailand, and yours too. Are you retired here? Just on vacation before seeking employment again? Long term employment here in Thailand planned? House? Renting, owning, etc?

If good ties to Thailand I'd think not a problem.

BTW, and not that it might matter, of what nationality are you?
