My wife is just getting ready to submit her SET(M) application.

I'm hoping some people here will have a bit more insight into the requirements concerning evidence of financial resources (ie. bank statements, etc) and what Immigration are looking for. All I know is that we need to evidence our:

"ability to maintain and accommodate [ourselves] without recourse to public funds"

A bit more information about our situation...

We have statements for current accounts that show money being spent on food and rent etc. So they show money coming in and out (more than would be coming in and out were we on public funds).

However, the money I earn goes into a business bank account. So, not directly into our separate personal current accounts. (Small) salaries and (larger) dividends are paid into our current accounts from the business bank account.

Our business is run from our home address and we have the statements addressed accordingly, so they should be able to associate them with us. Does anyone know if these can be submitted?

We do also have internet savings accounts - but we can't get internet printouts certified, so that's not an option.

Essentially, are they looking to calculate how much is coming in and out of your accounts? And, does "money in" on your statements need to directly relate to salary payments?

Or, are they looking for savings?

Thanks for any help you can give.
