Long Term Accommodation

Featured Replies

Hi, I have the chance to come to Ao-Nang for a job, I currently live and work in Bangkok and have done for 5 years, but the chance to live in Ao-Nang is quite a draw. However, I have no idea about accommodation, I currently live in my own 2 bed apartment and would like something similar, I will have my car with me so if accommodation is a bit off the beaten track, then no problem. Most sites I googled is advertising property for holiday makers, anybody know anywhere I can look?

Thanks

There for sure are a lot of bargains on houses in the area.

Is one place to start. Between Ao Nang and Tub Kaek, you'll be able to find a lot of nice little places, but really it's best you are there, because you'll want to check things like water pressure, electricity, water source, things you'll not be able to check on a website. Water pressure is always a biggy for me, showering under a bic water pic is no fun. Dribble, dribble, dribble....

My advice, have some idea of where to look beforehand, maybe google some property rental agencies Krabi, get there and take a cheap bungalow for a week, find your place and then get moved in. Best of luck !

Check out www.nadivana.com.

Offering great long term rates in the low season.

I second Huggybear's advice. Get down to AoNang, take a cheap bungalow and start driving around.

It might also be helpful to ask about for the opinions of local expats. Unfortunately that might mean spending a good amount of time traipsing from bar to bar... :)
