hate to do it with the current rates but no choice...

wondering what is the better (as in less expensive) option, anybody knows?

1. take cash to bangkok airport and change into euro

2. send the money from my thai bank account to one in germany

What exchange rate would get at BKK moneychanger, and what rate would you get from the German bank? How much would it cost you to transfer money to Germany?

If you can get a better rate from the German bank, would the additional amount you get cover the cost of the outgoing bank transfer from Thailand and the incoming transfer at Germany? If yes, do the bank transfer. If no, change it at BKK.

You might want to factor in the intangible of the amount of time it will take you to get to your German bank from your destination; if it's a hassle, is it worth it to make a bank transfer?

I would just convert it at the bank & carry it home.

It is definitely more than you have if you pay International transfer fees.

40 bucks USD here or 20 if you use BK Bank N.Y. to trans to Bangkok Bank TL
