jaideeguy
Can several flushes of warm soapy water safely remove round-up from a backpack sprayer so it can be used to spray insecticides safely without any residue to harm [wanted] plants?? Don't want to have to buy another sprayer, but will if it will cause damage.
slapout
That is how I always cleaned the tank, several wash's with soapy water and then rinse with clean water. Be sure and pressure up tank and wash out the wand (spray head) I found taking off the nozzle would speed the procedure up.
jaideeguy
And you have used the same sprayer for herbicides and insecticides?? I did a google and got conflicting info. I'll be spraying some valuable asparagus plants and really don't want to do any damage to them.

You should wash the pesticide immediately after you finished the job, do not allow it to dry inside the tank. If in doubt soak it over night with soapy water, you’ll be fine!
