Is there any accommodations near Bang Saen Beach or Burapha University or the aquarium in Bang Saen (Institute for Marine Sciences) for around $1000 baht or so. I saw the Tide Resort which is about $2300 baht. Any website links would help.

We had some friends visit and they stayed here. We got them down to 1000 a night for two people. It's OK, all you need with air etc and close to all you need.

the bigger hotels in bangsaen seem to be way overpirced for the quality, especially the one next to the roundabout, there are alot of short time rooms available alot cheaper if you can put up with them, they are located between the beach road and the 2nd road down one of the soi's, sorry cannot remember which soi. also there is a small bar quite close to that ss bangsaen beach hotel that rubik101 reccommended that has rooms above for about 600 baht. When will be going? for how long? i live quite close, p.m me if u need more info.
