Cabinet approves Bt5 billion soft loans to help tourism SMEs

BANGKOK: -- The Cabinet Tuesday approved a budget of Bt5 billion to provide soft loans to small tourism operators, Deputy Finance Minister Pradit Pataraprasit said.

He said the budget would come from the SMEs Tower project and would be used to provide soft loans to businesses, whose operation is not over Bt200 million in value. Each business would receive Bt5 million soft loans and can repay it in five years.
