Last weeks I am unable to open expatsclub on web (and some others), when I try I get "internet explorer cannot display the webpage". Guess I have a worm. What can I do ? Using IE8.

Have AVG antivirus, SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, Windows defender, Spybot.

Windows Security center is all green light, AVG dont find any, nor the other software.

Idea how to handle this ? (I am not a expert).

My PC (only 8 months old) have crashed 5 times last month, and screen gone to freezing white.

Some people rave about IE8 - I have tried it twice and and am back with IE7.

Same as you I was getting a lot of "unavailable" pages and lots of "Sorry encountered a problem have to close" At first I thought it was the connections but I tried the same sites with Firefox and they worked just fine.

I am back with IE7 and it works just fine. Un-Installing IE8 will automatically give you IE7.

I uninstall internet explorer 8 yesterday - have now checked i have IE 7.

I then run "Cure it" (quick+full scan in safe mode = nothing found) that was recommended under another post about vorm / virus.

Still same problem, bangkokpost.com - pattayaexpatsclub.com and others do not open "internet explorer cannot display the webpage"

Also my Wifi connection is "hijacked" - when I try connect, get forwarded to a thai member page with password etc. Before when it was working, it says "local and internet", not it only says "local only" and redirect me when start up.

Many experts here, any idea what I can do now ? :)

Try a system restore to a date when everything worked, as a sideline the www.pattayaexpatsclub.com website is down due to the death of the webmaster.

Download free software CC Cleaner and clean your PC and Registry. CC Cleaner is considered to be one of the best programs for that task

http://www.ccleaner.com/

If system restore fails - look at:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956196

Check your Firewall settings - check your browser settings!

Disable all add-ons

Post some URL's you cannot open. Other users can check if the same error occurs or not

As a very last resort reinstall would be my suggestion.
