Non Imm O Marriage Visa

Featured Replies

Hi people

Just wondered what my options are now.

I have had an extension to my Non Imm O visa with a marriage visa for the last 8 years .

I am 45 yrs old but have just got divorced from my Thai wife.

What is my best visa option so i can remain in LOS .

I have a son here also and have money in the bank.

Thanks in advance

Is your name on the kids birth certificate??

Dave

Do you have custody of your son or joint custody?

If yes you should be able to get an extension because you have a child that is Thai. The money requirements are the same as marriage.

My name is on my sons birth certificate.

I don't have custody of my son.

Thanks for any help given

Did you gave up costudy over your son when you divorced in the divorce agreement? Otherwise you will have custody.

If you don't have custody you can choose to get a multiple non-immigrant O visa from abroad and leave the country every 90 days. Other options are studying Thai language, which can be spread out to 5 years. A course would cost about 29,000 a year and requires you to study for about 4 hours a week. I guess you don't have more then 10 million baht, otherwise you can go for a investment visa.

Another possibility is doing volunteer work with a registered organisation or government school.
