The Sgos License Has Expired

Featured Replies

Since yesterday, I have this message while trying to connect to some websites with Maxnet, from my house, from the office:

"Access Denied (license_expired)

A license has expired on the Proxy, and your request is not permitted: "The SGOS license has expired"

A new license must be obtained.

For assistance, contact your network support team. "

I googled a little and found this message posted 2 years ago, is it related?:

Thailand has not paid its Proxy license

August 20th, 2007 | Internet Providers, Proxy Sites

It looks like True Internet or The ICT Government of Thailand has not paid its bill to http://bluecoat.com/. More and more users all over Thailand get the message that

Access Denied (license_expired)

A license has expired on the Proxy, and your request is not permitted: “The SGOS license has expired”

A new license must be obtained.

For assistance, contact your network support team.

Thailand has a strict block policy on many sites and that block is still intact but for how long.

Found this and it might work for you

SGOS = security gateway operating system

usally refering to a server or router or proxy server utilizing the SGOS 3.0.. It can also be used in pop up blockers and instant messaging blockers useing a vpn tunnels between diferent IP adresses. Look for any of the software blockers and either update them to get new permissions or remove them

I have the same problem on a number of sites; as does one of my friends. We are both on Maxnet. Don't think I have the energy to call them up and seek resolution given my previous experiences with something as simple as an internet outage.

It looks like it's a proxy problem with Maxnet, a friend of mine has TOT, he doesn't have this problem. If I use a proxy, it's OK.
