Forgive me for posting this here, but I seldom get the same answer on anything from any of the tellers at my bank. If I pay a cheque into my own branch account before 2pm, it is always cleared after 2pm the next day. If I pay the cheque into another branch of my bank, will the clearance still go through the next day? ie is the cheque clearance period the same regardless of which branch a cheque is paid into?
