Skype Pre Paid Cards

Featured Replies

I have seen more than a few discussions on here about cheap calls abroad and Skype seems to come out very well. I am now in China and purchased a legal Skype pre Paid card (they are sold here by shops who also sell phone Sim cards)

Problem is I cannot find a way to load the card. Any suggestions, and if I can load it, would it still work in Thailand

Never I've seen a Skype prepaid card here in Thailand. I am not aware it does even exist. Quite interesting to know about.

Anyway thats not your issue. Unfortunately I got no idea how to store credit in a Chinese Skype version.

But once your credit is stored in Skype system you can use it worldwide.

You do it over here with pre paid cards bought at Walmart, not sure the Chinese sold ones are the same...

go to www.skype.com and log into your account.

At the bottom you will see a list of options, one is "Redeem card" - you should be able to enter the credit here.

This thread is an opportunity to ask the question: are these stored-value cards cards available in Thailand?

Could imagine at 7/11 but never seen it so far.

Don't know, but i've just popped 35 euros for a years unlimited calling to Thailand - well worth it imho. Just about to set up the skype to go feature so i can share this with some friends in Australia.
