If you are importing value added or luxury goods the import tariff is often irrelevant even if your country has a FTA with Thailand. I know Thai people who can organise clearance quickly for a lower 'rate'. Its not illegal its simply how things are done here.Farangs cannot do this you will end up paying far more and will take longer. Must be an educated Thai.
