But i'm pretty sure the 11th is a working day in Singapore (?)

I know I could just give them a call but I was hoping to book flights today and I would rather not wait until tomorrow morning as i'm holding a very special fare ticket that I don't want to lose.

I assume you mean visakha bucha day which is on 8 may instead of 11 may so embassy will be open.

The web site says it will be closed.

This is what confused me. If it's not a public holiday in Thailand or Singapore, why would the embassy be closed? I was hoping the information on the website was incorrect but that maybe wishfull thinking...

Yes i noticed that but I know the UK embassy is open on Monday.... but closed tomorrow (Friday). I'm hoping Singapore will be the same

Thai embassies and consulates have Thai and local holidays both.

It will be closed on Monday as the website says.

The notice on the gatepost today says "Closed May 11th - Vesak Day (In compensation for Saturday May 9th)"
