About Visa

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've got ED visa which expires by the end of june. I'd like to go to Vientiane nex weekend to get double entry tourist visa, come back to Thailand with my ED visa, NOT stamping the tourist yet. Then go to the Cambodia border when my ED visa expires to get that tourist visa stamped.

Is this like a solid plan or is there some huge leaks in it?

Humbled in love and best regards,

How did you enter Thailand this time? A visa is used on entry so can not be used to enter again unless it is a multi entry. Are you talking about leaving on a re-entry permit at cost of 1,000 baht to obtain the remainder of your current permitted to stay time? If that is the case have no idea what Vientiane will think of your plan when/if they notice the huge re-entry permit.

Not only that, but a tourist visa has to be used within a certain period, normaly you get 3 months to make use of both entries. You would lose more then a month already when you apply next week. Might be wiser to apply for a double entry just before the 4yh of june, when you have to start paying for them again.
