Internet Inconsistant

Featured Replies

I am using vista and a very good modem and maxinet is my internet provider through tt&t in jomtien

the last couple of weeks the service usually goes out in the day for a few hours. when it is on it is sometimes 4300 on the speedtest, like now, but 20 minutes ago it would hardly load anything. at night usually flying. is this something with my system or with maxinet, they are working on the roads and the wires look really bad but i am not sure what is doing it. frustrating. sometimes when i reboot the modem it gets better, sometimes stays the same, sometimes looses the connection totally

anything i can do or TIT

I have the same problem. Many drops during the day, particularly bad early evening. TT&T engineer says there is nothing wrong, but it is always running when he checks!

I am switching to J-Net next week, see if that is any better.

I had Maxnet 2 Mbps for many months now and got recently upgraded to 5 Mbps in Central Pattaya and no problems at all - at least until now. Normally it runs at this speed with most downloads. I am wondering about the Gmail problems or others reported here in the forum.

Jomtien is not so far away from my location. Perhaps they really fix the lines in some areas. For sure it is not a bad idea even if it will be an endless job. In addition to this most lines belong to TOT and are just used by TT&T. Had a useless TOT ADSL in my apartment before - then even the phone did not work very often because the line was dead. But since I have my TT&T contract this never happened again even if it is still a TOT line.
