Just returned from an interesting little break with wife and friends.

Stayed at a little place in Chao Lao, the place looked okay from the outside but as soon as

we got into the room things started to go wrong.

Firstly - A curtain rail in the room was hanging down, the staff had not noticed, then as I proceeded

to draw the curtains in another area of the room the rail fell down.

Then after starting up our on barbeque, we decided to eat in the restaurant, so we ordered a few

Thai dishes, after eating there was some Tom Yum Goong left over, and my wife wanted to take it

back to the room, so she asked the staff for a doggie bag, the woman appeared moments later with

the food in a Tesco's carrier bag. Great service and great staff.

Also sometimes my wife likes a little birds nest, but not literally.

It doesn't look like a 5 star hotel so I'm not too sure what your complaining about.

We went to Chantaburi not so long ago and stayed in Al Medina Boutique hotel..... now THAT was a shit hole, and an expensive shit hole to boot.

If its under 800 baht you kind of expect it to be fairly shitty to be totally honest.

Why do people always think Farangs stay in 5 star hotels?

I was there with my wife and 8 of her friends from work (all Thai), and keeping within a budget

that's why the cheap place. When the staff at the place prepared the room, they would and

should have noticed the curtain rail. Putting Tom Yum Goong into a carrier bag, instead of a

small bag that you would normally expect, is disgusting.

Maybe people who go there with their Thai friends or family, who cannot always afford 5 Star

hotels, might want to know about other people horror stories from places, so that they can then

book somewhere better.
