Is It Worth Changing To Truemove?

Featured Replies

For the last few years I have been using TOP IPSTAR for the internet. I feel that the 2,700 THB a month is a bit overpriced and wonder about changing to TrueMove and using my mobile as a modem. What do people think about the service offered by TrueMove? Is it fast enough to download torrents? What about watching Youtube?

Has anybody tried TrueMove?

Any ideas?

You mean with an EDGE/GPRS phone package?

This would not be an appropriate replacement for an IPSTAR connection; it's much slower.

Thanks a million for the reply Dave.

Why True, of all providers? True has the worst coverage, I'd go with DTAC and AIS. Either one you can just try if your mobile is EDGE/class 10 enabled, the maximum speed is 250Kbit/second. I don't know what kind of speeds you get from the satellite but last I heard it was horrific. Are they better now? What do you get on speedtest.net?

There's also CAT CDMA which would be very fast mobile internet, but might not work where you live.
