Phuket Immigration - Support Of Thai Child Visa Extension

Checking the visa extension rules, it appears that I qualify (on paper) to extend my visa on the basis of having a Thai child. My son was born when I was married to his mother and I am named as the father on his birth certificate and he carries my surname.

In the Amphur divorce documents, myself and my ex both have joint custody of our son.

I am applying today for a letter of confirmation of my overseas income from the British Embassy.

However, in a previous thread, Ubonjoe said that Pattaya Immigration will not allow for this type of visa extension unless I have sole custody of my son.

Since my 'home-base' is usually Phuket, does anyone have experience of obtaining this type of visa extension from Phuket Immigration office??
