Poisonous Frogs

Featured Replies

Given the rain's recently I would like some informtion as to species of poisonous frogs that are indigenous to Thailand.

Poisonous as in like the small multi-colour poison dart dart frogs of South America? ones that secrete a toxic substance through their skin?

There aren't any in Thailand (as far as i'm aware of..)

however, the Asiatic Toad can do this trick and its 'toxins' are used in some chinese medicines

toads are pretty nasty and most dogs will take a bite and spit it out. So, unless you are planning on licking toads you should be fine :)

in certain parts of the western world, and with a certain species of Toad.. this pastime (for the errm..'special effects' it can induce in the licker) is not uncommon.. :):D

Yes most dogs.

At least one member on TV has a dog that is a toad junkie.

Yes, I remember :)

Still, most dogs have more sense than that, not sure if the OP was worried about his dog or worried about himself tho :D
