Mac, Openoffice And Thai Fonts

Featured Replies

I'm running OS/X 10.5.7 on a 2009 Mac Mini. I'm using OpenOffice 3.1.0 in lieu of MS/Office.

The problem is that OO doesn't seem to handle Thai fonts very well. Stuff that looks OK on the screen doesn't print very well: characters are either jammed together, or completely missing.

On the other hand, TextEdit displays and prints Thai fonts very well.

I'd use TextEdit, except that I've got a bunch of Word documents that have fill-in fields which TE doesn't handle.

Have any of you figured out which Thai fonts work best with Mac OO for both display and printing purposes?

Try Neooffice or iworks 09.

Same problem with Neo Office. Can't afford iWork.
