Non B To Non Ed

Featured Replies

I got a Non B through Text-and-Talk when I came to take there TEFL, and now have been teaching under the table (no BA or teaching liscence or contracts) for 3 months. My Non B is valid until March 2010.

I'm in love with Thailand now and want to attend university at Mahidol International College. I am now 20 years old.

I have been accpeted and will have the admission documents ready soon in order to apply for a Non ED.

But I have heard stuff about it being hard to change visas once in Thailand. Do I have to go back to Canada in order to get this new visa. I really don't want to. I can't be away from the boundless love that continuously blesses me in Thailand. :)

I assume you have a multiple entry visa. If you don't mind making border runs you can just use it until it runs out.

Or once you have all the documents to get an extension of stay you can just go to immigration and get one.

You don't have to change visas because you already have a non immigrant visa entry and that all you need to get an extension.

In the event the school insists that you have an ED visa and school can not supply the paperwork for conversion at Immigration you would be able to obtain in Vientiane or Malaysia. It would not require a return to the north country.
