anono12 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Hello everyone. I own a Motorola RAZR cell phone. It was bought in Korea. It has a slot for a SIM card, but currently, that slot is empty. I was wondering if I bring this phone to Thailand, will it work? I think the cell phone is "locked" or something, but I'm not sure. If that is the case, can it be "unlocked" in Thailand? I remember in Thailand, I saw many Thai people using old Korean phones. I'm wondering how they got them to work? Are there places in Thailand that can set me up with a deal?
MKAsok Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Assuming it's locked to a particular network (you might want to try putting a Thai SIM in first to make sure): Take it to MBK 4th floor. Ask someone there to unlock it. Don't pay more than 200bht for this. Buy a SIM card for 50bht. Buy some credit. You're sorted.
