Recommended Posts

Been in Thailand for about 10 years

Mainly with one year multiple entry visa category O (not working)

If I switch to retirement visa will I have the possibility to

Sim card AIS account to my name ?

Home electricity & gas to my name ?

Land line to my name ?

There isn't a "Retirement Visa" exactly. You could get an "Extension of Stay" based on retirement so you don't have to leave every 90 days though. For the other items, I didn't bother with the getting the AIS number in my name, just the generic one. But, I got all the other items without a visa at the time. (Correction, the electricity bill does have just the Condo name, but the other stuff has my name.) Not sure you'll gain much else, but depends on your situation.
