Is It Just Me Or Has True Been Extreamly Slow Past Couple Of Days?

Featured Replies

Just been wondering if it is just me or has True been very very slow these past couple of days... i am actually quite surprised as before i was with the crap factory called TOT and when i moved to True got very good speed (using the 4mb package).. however past couple of days my overseas connection has been feeling really slow.

just want to know if it is only me or for others as well..

No problems here in Bangkok.

TRUE has been suffering problems with international connections intermittently for the past 2-3 weeks. At one point we were suffering an international "blockage" that took me 4 phone calls to resolve. They were unaware of a generic issue and isolated a problem with our node. This is not too uncommon in a badly run network. A little "flicking of switches" and it was resolved. I monitor my internet connection all day as I am in contact with the UK constantly and I notice the international connection slowing every day for 10-15 minutes. It must be their policy of flicking switches to see what happens!!!

I have a feeling it is an upgrade work in progress on part of TRUE.

We have a 1Mbps line in Tungkruh BKK (usually got 0.8-0.9Mbps) and for the past week or so the domestic speed went up to 1.7-1.8Mbps and international (except Europe) went up to 1.5-1.6Mbps, but in the past few days the international links frequently went down to below dial-up speeds, lasted for 1-2 hours, after which the speed recovered to the new higher speeds.
