Anyone Rebuilt Dead Laptop Battery Packs ?

Featured Replies

I have a couple old laptops that have dead battery packs , they only hold a charge for 10-20 minutes ,

a new battery pack is $100-$125 which is really all the laptop is worth ,

So I was wondering if there is a shop in Pantip, MBK etc that can take my old battery pack apart and put in new batterys,

These are NiCads but I guess the same question if they were lithium,

Thanks for any ideas,

BK

At Pantip 1. floor on the right site in the back is one shop.

Amorn at Fortune Ratchadapisek

Amorn at Old Siam Department Store in Bangkoks Chine Town

and many other places.

Cheers.

Lots of shops doing it. I did mine in Fortune, never again, complete waste of money as results were worse that the original, ended up buying a full priced one.

I had the same experience. Better to spend a few Baht more and get one that works.

Personally I would only use an Amorn Service, which is the one I've good experiences with.

As mentioned before - buy a new one.

On 3rd or 4th Fl Pantip, you find some stores who sell batteries even for older brands.
