I know this topic has been covered before but what are the real benifits (if any) in setting up a string of guest houses & bar type scenario in Thailand?

I have researched this in depth and will not be doing it. It is impossible to make money out of these sorts of ventures, it will take you at least ten years to break even IMHO thats assuming you dont run out of money during those ten years
