Ok Ladies, I keep reading threads from the male perspective banging on about worlds sexiest women etc, I think its time for us to make our own!

In your opinion, which countries do you think have the sexiest men and/or most handsome and/or most considerate men (and maybe say why?)?I realise its possible to find a combination of all those factors (based on personal taste), but I think thats more down to each individual man and the woman interested in him. So, im keeping it more generalised.

I havent lived in enough countries to make too much of a judgement, but I do think Argentine men were quite considerate and in touch with womans needs (emotionally). They seem to have quite a lot of bravado but its like a game and just for show. Particularly like the respect they seemed to show female family members. Also, many are very handsome and sexy, so that doesnt hurt either!

Thai men, in my opinion, have a quieter sexiness. Cant quite put my finger on it. They also do considerate things that surprised me when i first saw it, such as holding a handbag. But, I will leave it at that, as Im not sure how interesting others will find this thread, so dont want to babble on.

If you are just generalizing, eek, I think Portugese men (and women) are some of the most physically attractive (from a visual viewpoint) in the world. There has to be SOMETHING to the term "Latin Lovers". That would back up your comment about Argentine men.

Scandinavians are also physically attractive, but too often a bit colder in their demeanor. It really depends on the individual and how they were raised. If a boy is raised to be caring for the opposite sex then that is likely how he will be as an adult. But, if he becomes too fawning as an adult he might come across as weak. Most women much prefer a strong, confident man. Girls are also attracted to the bad guys.

It still comes down to personalities and understanding. I'm only going from personal experience and studying what guys were considered the most attractive by the girls and women I have associated with. In my experience a man's physical appearance is often changed by his personality. A fairly homely (physically) man can appear attractive if he has a take charge, confident manner and does everything with a smile. And it is especially so if he has a nice voice. Many people forget the importance of a nice voice when it comes to attraction. That is why many older men can often attract much younger ladies. Sean Connery who is well into his seventies is still considered by many women to be very sexy.

From a guy's view I think you could find men to your liking from pretty much anywhere, albeit in greater or lesser amounts according to your tastes, bias,experience,etc..

If we are going on looks alone, then Scandos win hands down

But, I can appreciate a nice bit of eye candy any day and am more than willing to look at Asians, Portugese, Argentinians, or even Martians if they are hot enough

As for the 'even homely guys can be attractive' notion. Well, yes to an extent but I admit to being fairly shallow that way and wouldn't necessarily find myself with an ugly man. My husband was very good looking when we first met (and still is ) with a beautiful smile, nice body, attractive face and lovely personality to match. I prefer the more complete package myself, but there are plenty of women with different tastes than mine and what I find attractive another woman wouldn't necessarily so, and vice versa.

Looks alone - has to be Israeli guys - the women are beautiful too but the men, on the whole are gorgeous.Don't know about personality? Bina?

Actually I expect the female perspective on this topic will vary far more than the male perspective on the opposite sex. Men usually seem to have a simpler criteria when it comes to what they consider sexy/attractive/considerate. Maybe "simpler" isnt the right word really, I suppose i mean that women seem to have a different way of judging what is sexy etc. Often more about body language and the way a man makes you feel than just about appearances. Just look at Gerard Depardieu..makes so many women weak at the knees just because of his 'presence'.

And on that mention, how about French men? I may not personally find French men the sexiest men in general terms, but dam_n have they got style. SO very suave!

Haha, sorry sbk! I got sidetracked! (..and ooh yes...Antonio Banderas! For me, what makes him more sexy, is that he is one of the Hollywood guys that is known for being faithful to his wife. How much temptation must come his way?! I imagine a LOT of women come on to him. Same seems to be true of Johnny Depp. I admire these guys all the more for 'seemingly' being faithful to their wives. BUT, im sidetracking again!).

i think (some) scandinavian guys are the best looking, and have a lot of style and personality. but i tend to like dark haired guys, which isn't common up there.

i don't think any particular nationality is the sexiest, that is an individual thing. i do agree that a large percentage of israeli guys i have met were very sexy. the sexiest guys i have ever seen were in NYC (all nationalities).

american & canadian guys by far are the nicest and most considerate, in my experience. it's the way they are raised. i have heard the same about new zealand guys but have never met one.

thai (asian) guys were revolting to me at first, then became very sexy as i settled into the culture. once i learned more about their culture though i am back to finding myself revolted by them, in general.

Absolutment! They can easily fascinate a woman with their manners and sexy accent. They've got that 'je ne sais quoi'.. If they are half French and half north African then some can be incredibily attractive..My favourite kind has to be of mixed race, visually speaking but also culturally, if they were able to appreciate a taste of both parent's worlds. Keanu Reeves is a an example..

When in ENgland I always used to go for foreign guys ( though my longest term bf was english) however being in Thailand, I find that I really miss the banter and humour of english men and when I click with someone over here who has that it is a great feeling and makes me miss home!

I am afraid though I can' generalise on who is the best looking nationality, or most considerate etc as I have met equal amount of each end of the spectrum from many nationalities (though the french accent does give a man an added je ne sais quios!). Sorry to be a spoilsport Eek, but I am being really honest. Of course I could say Thai given mr Sabai's passport, but I have met just as many un sexy Thais as I have sexy ones. Short, tall, fat, thin, black, white, eurpoean, asian...if they've got it, they've got it!

I used to think so too, until I moved there and got my fill.

Just personal experience... for me, Polish men are what the French only dream of. Polish men know how to treat women, are deeply sexy and sensual, polite, smart, have warm personalities with a great sense of humour, and are a wee bit naughty.

When the Polish people started appearing around the UK, I was thrilled.

Funny, not for me. Perhaps its because I make an effort to not leap to judgment, but it usually takes more than one bad one to ruin my perception.

I have met plenty of awful people of differing nationalities but I have also met plenty of lovely people from those very same nationalities.

I learned a long time ago, jerks cross international borders and can come from anywhere.

Irish men for sexy, handsome, considerate, good conversation, and really knowing and understanding what a woman wants/needs. Being a good cook, knowing which wine to choose, being in touch with your female side and being a great listener. Supplying chocolate on demand also helps.

I honestly don't think you can generalize on what country produces the sexiest, most handsome or most considerate men. It's no different than men trying to pick out the same when it relates to women. Everyone has different standards on who they are attracted to. Looks are only part of the package. I've seen and met many visually stunning women who were cold fish. The same goes for men who LOOK great, but are duds when it comes to everything else. There are many gay men who are extremely handsome, but they certainly aren't any catch for a heterosexual woman. Think of all the gorgeous ladyboys who are prettier than most women. Where would they fit into the picture?

A better question would be what are you personally attracted to. I know I've always been attracted to women with dark hair and brown eyes; Latins or Asians, it doesn't matter. I don't care about big boobs but I'm not interested in anyone fat. But, that's just me. My son likes his women big, blonde and busty... and he's happily married to one.

Looks are only part of the package.

If you read through comments posted by women, you'll see that we rarely go by looks alone.

And that's why women are quite happily married to a guy with bad knees, a bit of a pouch, thinning hair, etc.

Because sexy is not limited to youth, totally firm bodies, the clothes worn, or cars driven.

Mindset comes into it in a big way.

Very true, Desi. And, it goes both ways. Most people want to be liked and it is a big turn on when someone truly does like/love you. It's the reason why loving couples long past their youthful beauty still have a great life together. Unfortunately, not all couples form that bond. However, I do believe that men are somewhat more shallow than women and are turned on more by physical beauty. A man who shows genuine affection for a woman can be a big turn on. I know there are a few young ladies who like me and it's mainly because I truly like them and show it. It's NOT just a money thing. But, I'm also honest and they know there can't be any long time commitment because I wouldn't be around when they get older.
