I totally agree about the hands, the wrists and the fingers,

like you said when a man is playing the guitar or when playing pool, holding the pool cue

stubby fingers are a real turn off

Have to agree. When I first met my husband it was his hands (and sense of humour) I found incredibly sexy! Every time I saw his hands on his Austin 1300 steering wheel, I would go weak at the knees...I can laugh now, but at the time it was an unbelievable aphrodisiac.

Once upon a time I would have agreed - ALL my early b/f's were playing in a band. Having been married to one for many years I belatedly realised they love their music FAR more than any person. Heavy sigh....

Physical signs indicating a sense of humour are irrelevent..... I think we ladies can possibly all agree that the biggest aphrodisiac of all is someone who makes us laugh.

EEK this is a great thread but you haven't been to Argentina. My daughter spent 6 weeks there a few years ago and from her experience the men were way to macho. One of their condsiderate actions to women was to grab the womans crotch and then proposition them, way to go guys.

moe, what are you on about? I havent been to Argentina? I have family there, so have been many times, and lived there for a duration. My brother has lived there for nearly 20 years and my niece and nephew (Argentine/Scot)were born and brought up there... Im sorry for your daughters experience, but I find your comment rude. Particularly of course as I have family and friends who are male and Argentine, and who would NEVER behave in that manner towards women.

I dont know where your daughter hung out. Yes Argentine men will call out, but its also down to how a woman conducts herself too. The way a woman responds will put a man in check. Plus, my brother is well known where he lives. There is absolutely no way a man would disrespect me. But even when i went to Buenos Aires, i carried myself the same as an Argentine woman. Men may give a comment, but they never laid their hands on me. Ive never seen this happen. How did your daughter dress/conduct herself? Maybe she didnt understand the culture well (not that im excusing any behaviour like that of course, if that happened to her.), but all countries have certain rules of decorum, and unfortunately women are judged easily by how we dress and act.

Edit: What did your daughter actually do when this happened to her? If this had happened to an Argentine woman (or me..or most other women) that man (men?) would be shouted at and slapped and the woman would call out for help from local people. The police would also be called. As i said, this is never something i have seen happen. Some Argentine men may well be macho, but the men i knew were considerate and caring of women, and had deep affection for female family members. Honestly, im pretty shocked at your daughters experience...as im sure most people who live in Argentina would be had they heard or seen anything like that.

Italian men, in my own experience.

They seem to like to take care of women, to enjoy handling things that I don't want to deal with (money, plane tickets, etc.).

An Italian female friend of mine said Italian men are like this, and "that's the way every woman should feel"- looked after, no stress.

Also, my Italian male friends and/or "boyfriends" love to spoil my daughter. So they win in the "considerate" ranking.
