June 6, 200917 yr Dear all I have a one year multiple entry visa (O) on a British pasport. I recently purchase a holiday apartment in my name and Have a Thai driving licences. I now like to purchase a car in my name,and I have been told That I need a residency letter from the immigration,and A work permit.I wonder if any one of you guys got any Info with regards to this issue,and I would be greatful With any infomation.
June 6, 200917 yr Only a Certificate of Residency from immigration, Passport and the usual copies. WP not needed
June 7, 200917 yr I purchased, and financed, a new car last year, as advised above just passport copies and proof of address, I actually used a letter from my embassy as they gave me two copies when I renewed my driving licence. All very easy, the dealer did it all for me. theoldgit

You got the CASH, a Thai driver License and a one year multiple entry O visa, my friend you are good to go, no WP necessary(i.e., CASH for your car your name). Now I must add please take the extra step and get some first class Insurance(3rd party) Good luck. Hope to see you crusing around town in shine new BWM/Benz(?)
