Oh dear.

My thoughts also with her and her family.

nampeung i hope you get a chance to come on here and say goodbye, but even if not i am sending you best wishes for whatever may come.

We've been informed that she has died, and that it was very peaceful with no pain or distress. I am sure all the good wishes and support messages she received in this thread helped her in those final days. Thanks to all.

Rest in peace Seonai.

Never met you. Wish i had.

You made a difference.

Condolences to those you left behind. :)

I feel stunned. She was so much with us and now she's gone.

Deepest sympathy for her family.

RIP Nampeung

Good-bye Seonai.

Kiss the sky for me.

Wild as the wind ... rest in peace, my friend.

:) R.I.P :D

RIP Seonai.

This is so sad. She seems to have been a very nice lady and a source of inspiration to all those around her.

Rest in peace and good wishes to those who know her best.

My mother's favorite poem:

Desiderata

-- written by Max Ehrmann in the 1920s --

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,

and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender,

be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly;

and listen to others,

even to the dull and the ignorant;

they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons;

they are vexatious to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,

you may become vain or bitter,

for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;

it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,

for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;

many persons strive for high ideals,

and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.

Neither be cynical about love,

for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,

it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,

gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.

But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.

Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,

be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe

no less than the trees and the stars;

you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you,

no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,

whatever you conceive Him to be.

And whatever your labors and aspirations,

in the noisy confusion of life,

keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,

it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Rest in Peace Seonai

rest in peace dear seonai.

aw RIP... very sad to hear.

I just came across this thread late yesterday, very sadly too late.

Seonai was a beautiful person by all accounts and I envy those of you who were so fortunate to know her. May her friends and family find solace and comfort in the precious memories they shared.

A Phuket site has made an account of her life in Thailand and passing. I hope posting it here is appropriate (if not, ladies mods please delete)

Nampeung, my thoughts are with you at this time.

You are quite amazing, no display of bitterness, anger or hurt at what has befallen you. You worry about your son?

My father fell ill and died within 5 weeks. Age at the time was 11, still to this day, wish I could remember him saying he loved me?

Your son is you, you will live on in him and his children, you gave him life, warm and love.

Point I am trying to make is to make him feel loved and that he is in your heart and soul forever.

We can all buy and give gifts but receiving a mothers love is the greatest gift you can give your child.

Take care
