Hua Hin To Kanchanaburi By Motorbike

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone done the above route? google maps says about 6 hours, I find that hard to believe. The 'blokes down the pub' say about 3 hours? Anyone got any idea? Average speed about 90-kph on a 250cc

Cheers

"BLOKES DOWN THE PUB" are correct. get out onto Petkasem Road and just ride until you get to Kanchin. depends on how fast you go but if you average 120-130 will be about 3.5hrs. enjoy.

What bike you riding?

Also do you have any info (tel number etc) about the new race track in Petchaburi?

Cheers - riding a Ninja 250R won't be going 120-130, more of a leisurely 90-100 kph - Saturday stroller.

Heard about the track but haven't been to investigate as the rain has been coming down and I've got stock IRC's, saving up for some Pirellis - no other info, will ask around and report my findings.

The ex Mrs H2O rode from Chumphon to HH then HH to Canchanaburi the next day, 1 week after learning to ride a bike with a clutch, for the " We love the King " Bike weekend a couple of years ago. She rode there on a Honda Phantom. Riding at 80 -90 KPH took around 4 hours with stops for gas and food. Nice ride and easy to get to. :)

Richie. Bridgstone Bt45's are a good choice if you intend doing some mileage and just the odd track day. Twin compound tyre, harder in the centre and soft on the edges. How are you finding the Ninjette
