My Thia wife and I have just returned from the Phuket and Khao Lak areas having done our best to see what could be offered by way of assistance - it was certainly an adventure! We collected lots of information, pictures and a good insight into what was still required by those displaced. Left behind us were several lorry loads of aid but there is still much to be done, despite this we are pleased to report that things are getting better all the time.

That's good to know, and good for you both for giving your time and compassion to this horrable tragady.

I just had a look at your website, and have to say some of the images there really made me feel the extent of this event all over again, it's all very well when CNN and BBC are reporting on it 24/7 for a couple of weeks, but then the media interest dies off and so do those of the 'watchers'.

I think many people only think about the initial disaster and forget about how long and how much effort the 'clean up' period takes, ashamed to admit myself included.

I'm glad to hear things are getting better, I have given cash to the various agencys but I always wish I could do more, unfortunatly I just don't think I could take it, looking at so many dead and homeless, children who have lost parents etc.. So I am endlessly greatfull that people like yourselves are out there right in the thick of it helping out.

Keep it up and keep us informed!
