I doubt that dealers are equipped to midify cars. At honda, as far as I'm aware, they carry out regular services and fix things that get broken. You will need an independent garage to do modifications that are above and beyond the norm.

Outside agents that you can trust. Trust is key here so many do shoddey work, I'm sure some trusted Thai friends or farangs friends can help you out on this one.

Dealers aren't particularly in the business of modifying cars.

They want to sell you a product with which you're happy.

They have an options list -- that's about it.

Modifications often void warranties.

I would offer this line of thinking. Yes, the dealer's show room people just want to sell cars. But the service area is like in other countries, a different cost center. There they have the qualified mechanics for that make and model car. If it is a reasonablly new car/truck, they have the correct tools.

All my friends and relatives that use the cheaper shops because they are cheaper get work done by people with varying degrees of skill and knowledge about that particular car and what usually looks like a motley assortment of tools (why buy a specific tool for a specific car if a vise grip will work on all cars?).

I have never been satisfied at these shops. On the other hand, my sister-in-law is because her car is 30 years old, there is no other option, she is on her 3rd or 4th engine, and they keep the car running.

yea no dealership would take on any project.

you will need to find a garage,

what would you like to do to your truck?

what truck do you have?

what motor are you running, what tranmission? and what sort of mods where you planning to do?

as you might have read i modify trucks for a living and i also further support and modify for petrol cars to.

Hi Philip,

I just wana bulk up my truck on accessories..a electric sport lid cover with roll bar. Basically anything that can change or alter the body to look nicer, bigger, sleek, aggressive. A blue road highlighter underneath. Front fender etc. The interior = Electric scuff plates, blue lamp leg room, Kelvar cover panel set. Might change the 2 front seats to Sparco not sure yet. And many more

Im getting a Vigo Hilix 4 doors elevated platform very very soon. 1-2 weeks time.

Its a 3.0 manual. Mostly planning to mod on looks (interior & exterior)

Where are you located at Philip ?

Toyota dealers dont do this. They source it out (or the sales staff do) and charge you double.

Carryboy dealers do the lid/rollbar. Most of them do the rest too. I see nothing expensive/challenging here.

BTW Sparco is a nightmare to get in/ out in an elevated truck. Would rather cover the original seats with something exciting
