Just download the relevant forms Pete ours came through fairly quickly. I would book an appointment at the nationality checking centre your local registry office they will check the paperwork etc for you and send it on your behalf.

I am alittle confused by your post ,, how long has your wife been in the UK ? presumably she had to have her UK citizenshiptest passed to get her ILR , mabe Im getting mixed up because although my missus has passed her UK test when we go for her ILR next Nov she will still have to wait another year for a UK passport , as she will not have been here or 3 years,,anyway good luck with it all . The crap we have to go through !!!!!!!!! At the end of the day all this is backdoor tax we are paying to the government .

she must be in UK 3 years before applying for Citizenship but this includes any visit/fiance visa she may have had before arriving on SV & gaining ILR.

If she does, then download the forms, fill them in & provide the very small amount of paperwork that is required. My husband did it last year & we used the nationality checking service, we took the form, our council tax bill, 2 P60's, his thai passport, my passport, our wedding certs & a couple of other household bills to prove he still lived with me.

They checked it, took copies, gave us all the paperwork back & off it went. Took about 10 weeks to receive the letter of confirmation back & the citizenship ceremony was arranged for 10 days later.

Once he had the certificate, passport app sent off, 2 weeks later letter requesting an interview for the following weekend & passport received 4 days after that.
