bkkmick
Hi I got stopped the other day on the express way as my tax disc is out of date (by more that a year! ha!). I offered a couple of hundred baht and a sympathetic smile but he refused and walked away. Then a different cop came over with my tattered old UK driving licence (no photo). I explained as best I could that I hadn't realised (for more that a year), sorry, etc and that I'll sort it out. In the end he just shrugged his shoulders and said ok. What a let off. Anyway, my mrs. just phoned the finance company to see what we have to do to get the insurance. They said that, as the car is over 7 years old, I have to take it somewhere to get it checked and receive some documentation (sounds like an MOT center). I asked her where but she didn't know. Anyone know the procedure for taxing an older car? Thanks Mick
