Missing Person

While enjoying my morning coffee at ABP on Thong Lo this morning at about 9.20 am, i was accosted by a young charity worker looking for a donation for his cause,to avoid any shrinkage to the money in my wallet, i implicated the "avoid eye contact and usher away with hand technique"  similar to that of roman emperor's which has always proved quite succesfull in these types of situations, however upon returning back to my newspaper it occured to me that my cigarette box was empty, to lazy to make the 50 meter trip to Villa, i beckoned his return with a slight nod and explained to him my predicament.

My proposal, if he were to make the trip to the supermarket and replenish my smokes, a donation of 200 THB (the average according to his book) he would find upon his return, and so it was agreed and off he left 500 THB in hand.

As of my departure at 10.50 am he is yet to return with my cigarettes, change and donation certificate for 200 THB.

I can only assume that he is new to the area and has lost his way or maybe even been abducted with large bill in hand( we all know J avenue can be quite dangerous of a morning)

If anyone should come accross this young chap, who is undoubtedly miles from home and wandering aimlessly trying to find me cigarettes etc in hand, please redirect him to the Tong Lo area, and put his mind at rest by informing him that if he just waits there i shall return at the same time tomorrow.

:D aaaaaa. Out of words. :) ....

Well old hoss, anyone who would spend 6 to 7000 pound a year on designer jackets should not miss the money. He probably miss understood your instructions as 500 baht for cigs and 200 donation probably just overwhelmed him.

Reminds me of a time when I was in China (many years ago, when it was still very, very poor). A group of tourists were at the Great Wall and a lady went to buy some postcards. All she had was US$100. She asked if she could get change. The vendor disappeared, never to be seen again!

I'm pretty sure I would not have done that unless I was drunk out of my mind and still smoked...

Are you sure it was not a counterfeit bill you gave him, have you looked in jail?? :)

One of the more famous lines from the movie Forrest Gump comes to mind.

It was the maid's brother.

saw him half an hour ago looking very perplexed and muttering something about his bloody sat nav not working and how you would be thinking the worse of him. good to know he should not worry.

TROLL

Som Nam Na :)

Did you honestly believe he would be back?

Reading some of your posts you seem like a smart guy but in this case........

i have to respectfully disagree. from the OPs previous posts, you will notice that he's actually really dumb. but his comedy is gold, jerry, GOLD!

I actually saw this event take place, one swift punch to the back of the said charity wallers head and I found myself 500 Baht richer, said waller can be found slumped behind Villa
